This quote was initially meant for one of my best friend who has been rather hesitant in terms of being adventurous with life. However, it really applies to anyone. Going for all kinds of events, opening up to anything. From chalets to yesterday’s Amazing GRace.. They really seem to have great effects on our lives. We make new friends, familiarise with old acquaintances, fill up an empty day. Life’s less dull. Life’s not emo. (to joshua, when you see this, I’M NOT EMO OK)

An update on life.. Last friday was the annual 409 class christmas party! <3

Saturday, went to sandra’s place to do stella’s video with ky and sand. Played squash. Monday meeting at lucas’ for Amazing GRace+ Swim with sandra.

Today, friday 18th, was SB6, stella’s farewell party

Using alcohol to describe the infocomm chalet is completely appropriate. Your life sucks; you take a break at a new place; have a dose of sweet alcohol; become high for a night; gets you addicted; and kicks you back to reality with a major hangover. Although I’m not a fan of alcohol and have never really drunk alcohol, I guess that’s how it feels like. Hangover= homework, irritating class matters, boring life. I’m glad I got to know you dear breezer, but I guess I’m stuck with plain water. Wth..

A new year has passed. We’ve grown another year older. Its been eons since we’ve all last seen each other. Yesterday, or rather, yesterday, today and tomorrow are the days for the annual infocomm chalet. I expected much more seniors to return this year. To my disappointment, there was only yanchng, yang ping, weijie and me in the end. However, the chalet was actually more fun than the one I attended two years ago! Haha! With less people, we actually had more fun and bonded. In addition, us being seniors, we had some fun new stuff ”yanchng bottoms up!” xD We chatted, gossiped, played all sorts of games, watched zombieland and had much fun.

Even though I’d only had on off naps adding up to around 2 hours, I don’t really feel that tired. After all, how can one be tired when your mind and soul is on vacation? Worries left under your pillow, homework under your bed. Just one day, one day to come out and do whatever we like Thanks for the fun filled day! Even though I wished I could have stayed and night cycling!

心的旅行~

Today, i purchased a book. The title of the book is 边境，吴哥窟 by 修杰楷. Besides that being part of the reason for my purchase, I wanted to see a different part of the world- one that i may never get to experience for myself. 吴哥 for those who don’t know, its Angkor Wat. One of the seven wonders of the Earth. Love the way the book it is written.

Xiu expressed every tiny sight, sound and emotion in a simple yet refeshing way. Its as if you’re there with him, on this interesting journey. He mentions things that you wouldn’t have thought of even if you were not that distracted by the distinct difference in culture, leaving much room for thought. Haven’t read alot, but so far it feels like I’m actually taking a holiday at cambodia and experiencing what he had experienced, without actually leaving my doorstep.

In the recent year, photography has really given me new experiences. I began to look at things that I wouldn’t notice before, allowing me to hear the stories behind each subject and appreciate them. Its not just the pictures that are snapped at that moment. Its the stories that follow you for life. Put these experiences with travel and you can rougly guess why I like this book. Conveying messages through beautiful pictures and simple words.

Anyway a little more on why I like the author too. For people who know me personally, I like to take pictures of the sky. Cloud formations, colour settings, building silhouettes make sky shots ever changing and beautiful at the same time. When I first entered his blog, the first thing that I saw was the wide variety of such shots. That alone was convincing enough for me to get this book because it was like a guarentee that whatever he saw through his lens, it was what I wanted to see as well.

Someone once told me, at 11.11pm everyday you can make a wish. Someone else said that if you catch 100 planes you can make a wish. Another someone said that if you see a meteor you can make a wish. These are the little things everyone deludes themselves with to inject some hope into their lives. If escapsim is for cowards, then everyone is a coward. Unless you’ve never made a wish or hoped for something that you know might not even come true.

Shakespeare once said: It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves. At every single point of time in your life, everything you do, can change what would to happen next. Though true that not everthing is within our control, but at some point of time, our destiny is still ours to choose. This however, does not mean everyone should stop wishing for the best. Positivity is a good thing. It gives us courage to face the things we are afraid to stand up to. To the things that make us scared yet we care about the most.

Anyways, it has been raining day in day out =.= How to go out like thatttt. Supernatural is awesome as usual.. Dragonica looks quite ok. Prefer the 2-D maple though With its christmas events and stuff…
