When you’re tired, or in envy of those having their holidays overseas right now, just close your eyes and imagine you’re a tourist in this sunny island. Just like how the subways look like those in hongkong, how the airport looks like taiwan’s. Imagine you are one of the people those tourists envy because you live on this green city just like how you envy those living in other countries all over the world. Pace down the streets, indulge in the melodies, enjoy the smells because all that stands between you and your dream life is your imagination. Let your imagination take flight.
Your fun is only limited by your imagination. In every person, there is a child. In every woman, a girl. As everyone grows up, they loose their imagination and hide their child-like self. Just like how every girl hides their wish for a fairy tale ending. Proof? Aren’t dramas and movies just masks of fairy tale?
Besides the point. When life is boring, empty, unbearable, dramas and movies just form a “perfect life” setting for escapism to take place, for women to turn to girls, for adults to turn into kids. Filling up my empty life with someone’s story is probably the only thing that I can do right now.
How is it that when you ask the same question to 10 people, they give you the same answer? It’s either a “tell you some other time”, “I see whether I can make it”, “I don’t know whether I can” or “I have something on”. Whichever phrase they use, it’s basically a no. Whatever happened to the time where everyone just says “yes”. Where’s the spontaneity? A million things to do; a million no-s. What’s the point of everything when its just a dream. Escapism is always the first idea in every conformist. How great it would be if I could just slip away from this life where no one is ever there. If you want to leave, leave for good. Don’t knock on this door only when you need help. Call me only if you have something to offer.

All that the animals at the zoo do is eat and sleep. All they have is in that small enclosure they lie in 24/7. Its no wonder life is mudane there- for the animals that is. Guanacos, looking sad, cats of prey walking around in circles, lions yawning and orang utans lying on trees. This is their life. A life of captive. A life just like ours. Minus the various luxuries, our lives are just as ‘enclosed’ as theirs are. Feeling sad when things are down, following routines in circles, getting tired and even bored of our lives. Though its through that we make our own future, we determine our own lives and how it is viewed; sometimes it just feels like we’re in this enclosed area, just like an invisible cage, holding us captive and trapping us, locking us down at rock bottom. It maybe the short-lived “holiday” period, but it doesn’t seem like much have changed. Just. That. ____. Life.

Since everyone is busy mugging for promos, the only bored person went out shopping with jingzxzxz to shop for a dress ._. Yes a dress :/ Even though the conclusion was that I seriously don’t go with dresses, I still bought out at F21 only to find out everyone disapproves of it -.- Ok whatever. Camwhore a little, had an unpleasent MRT experience but i guess it was a breath of fresh air. Can’t wait for next monday- blade blade blade, tuesday- guess what? its a piggy day!, and end of promos- sentosa, blade, shopping, outing outing outing dates!

Every song has its lyrics, every art piece its meaning, every photo its story. Each life is unique. Pain, joy, sorrow, happiness, worry, excitement. Your life could be one of a dancer, one with glory and fame; or maybe one of solitude, lone and quiet. No matter what each life brings, it brings a story. A story some people harvest as fertilizer for blooming flowers of work- as the motivation for their life.
Only pieces with stories, can reach out to its audience and hold their hands. Each person has their own way, their comfortable medium of narrating their story, but how many actually tune in into their frequency and listen?

Cancelled out the window shopping today. Went out briefly with weichen and wanjing. Didn’t purchase anything but a fish?? LOL. It was ok. Better than rotting at home I guess :)
