Today, I received many many notices from Flickr, Hotmail and all.. It was about a picture I used 2-3 years back for a post in this blog. To be honest, I was rather apologetic at first and wanted to immediately add a disclaimer, until I saw the flaming on CS.

I would like to clarify that I never claimed property of that photo, and I do apologize for not giving proper accreditation. For those who don’t use WordPress, the by_______ is for the post not the photo. It was an honest mistake.

What I do not understand is why there had to be this big flaming on DeviantArt and ClubSnap over the issue accusing me of being a thieve. Being senior members, shouldn’t you guys know better than to flame without basis? I don’t have the time and energy to deal with all this crap, but I do not appreciate people jumping to conclusions over the matter.

1. Be Nice and Be Civilised – abusing, name-calling, personal attacks on members and/or generally trying to stir up trouble will not be tolerated. Be kind to newbies as they may not know the general flow of the forums. Repeatedly violation of this rule will result in banishment.

If you are here, reading this post over the matter, sorry I did not mean to quote without accrediting, but I do not sarcasm and accusations especially from people who did not bother to see the other side of the story. ALL PHOTOS WITH MY NAME ON THEM AND THOSE WITH COPYRIGHT FROM MY CAMERA ARE MINE. THE REST GOES TO WHOEVER TOOK THEM (of which I do not know since this is the World Wide Web, but thanks anyway). By the way, this is not even some official photo blog.

Sorry but why would I need to use someone else’s work and pass it off as my own? My work may not be the best but I take pride in what I do (of which started AFTER 08). Move on.

On a side note, MY photo (photo above) was featured in the Indian photographic community some time ago. FotoFlock And thanks for the favourites and comments on Flickr
